2010 World Water Week in Stockholm: The Water Quality Challenge, September 5 - 11

The first steps towards the 2010 World Water Week are underway and the Stockholm International Water Institute would like to invite interested parties to submit abstracts for workshops and proposals for seminars and side events. In addition, you can find all the results of the 2009 World Water Week including the overarching conclusions and session summaries under WWW 2009.

What's going on

  • Call for Seminar and Side Event Proposals
  • Proposals are welcome from organisations who wish to host a seminar or side event at the 2010 World Water Week. The deadline for proposals is February 15 2010
  • The focus shifts to Water Quality
  • The theme for 2010 will be global water quality challenges. Different aspects of water quality will be taken up during the week, including how to prevent, wisely use and abate water pollution.
  • 20th Anniversary Preparations
  • 2010 will be the 20th Anniversary of the World Water Week and the Stockholm Water Prize. We hope you will be able to celebrate this with us in September.
  • The First Announcement
  • Check out the 1st Announcement for the thematic scope of 2010, workshop descriptions and instructions for submitting abstracts and proposals.
  • Taking the Stockholm Message to Copenhagen
  • As the world’s attention turns to COP-15, we again emphasise the Stockholm Message from the 2009 World Water Week as an important input to be considered in the negotiations.
