Event Description
The side event will show practical applications of integrated management of land and water resources in Brazil. ITAIPU will present the case study based on the Cultivating Good Water program which focuses on watershed management good practices.

Implemented in the Paraná River basin, this program covers 8000 sq. km and benefits 1 million people in 29 cities. It helps guarantee multi-purpose water uses with particular emphasis on good quality and quantity of water, protection and conservation of soils and biodiversity, clean production systems with the application of innovative management and environmental education methodologies.
