Introducing: Young Professionals Day

The 2013 World Water Week in Stockholm features an entire day of activities aimed at those at the start of their careers. During the Young Professionals' Day, we will open the doors to young enthusiasts between 16 and 35 years old who will get free access to the Young Professionals activities, including a seminar, an intergenerational dialogue, as well as opportunities for career coaching by water professionals.

Call for Ideas and Projects for the Ideas' Marketplace

The Ideas' Marketplace is an exhibition space dedicated to ideas and projects that need funding or partnerships in which young professionals will be given the opportunity to present and discuss their ideas with the delegates attending the World Water Week.

Call for young professionals to help develop the World Water Week in Stockhom

Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) is seeking eight committed Young Water Professionals interested in providing support to the Scientific Programme Committee.

The initiative of a Young Scientific Programme Committee, which started in 2012, provides professionals at the start of their careers with an exciting opportunity to collaborate with top level scientist and water professionals in developing the programme of one of the most renowned water conferences, gaining increased visibility within the water community in the process. Meanwhile, the involvement of young professionals will provide the Scientific Programme Committee with youthful input and perspectives. Learn more about YWPC.

2012 World Water Week Overarching Conclusions now available

Water and Food Security

At the 2012 World Water Week in Stockholm, over 2,500 experts gathered to discuss solutions to ensure water and food security for our entire globe. As the organiser, the Stockholm International Water Institute offers its conclusions on key threads that emerged from the Week, based on the reports from workshops, seminars, plenary sessions and the rappor-teur theme reports. This interpretation of the most meaningful and recurring messages that emerged on Water and Food Security - the theme of the 2012 event - is meant to contribute to a dialogue between and beyond the intense and fruitful discussions that took place during the World Water Week.
