Event Summary and Conclusions
In the spirit of collaboration, as enshrined in the European Research Area networks, a number of environmental ERAnets created a joint event at the World Water Week in Stockholm.
This side event brought together IWRM-Net, SPLASH, CRUE and CIRCLE, along with delegates from SNOWMAN to discuss with World Water Week delegates the research priorities for the future. The aim was to receive input from delegates on the main themes of:
- Integrated Water Resource Management
- Flooding
- Climate Change
- International Development
Over 50 delegates attended the event and found the discussion beneficial and interesting, with most finding that 20 minutes was not long enough to solve the issues being debated but our goal of bringing people together to start discussion was a success. Most people also found it also to be a learning experience. The best things were meeting other networks, interaction, open discussion and exchange.
