The WASH Media Award

Co-convened by the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council and the Stockholm International Water Institute, the WASH Media Award highlights the role of the media in raising awareness and influencing policy on water supply, sanitation and hygiene issues. The initiative, first launched in 2002, recognises journalists from developing countries whose work has a proven impact on improving WASH services in their country or locality.

Prizes will be awarded in the three language categories English, Spanish and French. An additional prize will go to the best entry on issues related to gender and water, sanitation or hygiene.
