Sanitation-is-dignity is a global initiative of the German Toilet Organization (GTO), supported by UN-Water. It has already been organised in several cities around the world, most recently in Stockholm during the World Water Week.

Parallel to the 2008 World Water Week in Stockholm, which placed special focus on sanitation, SIWI hosted the global touring exhibition ‘Sanitation-is-dignity’ at Norrmalmstorg in the centre of Stockholm.

The campaign activities in Stockholm were organised by SIWI in cooperation with: AMREF, Karolinska Institutet, Sida, SEI/EcoSanRes, Swedish Water House (SWH), UNICEF Sweden, UNDP Water Governance Facility at SIWI (WGF).
