David Ginting is an expert in land and water management. He holds an MSc degree in Water Resources Management from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, and a BSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia.
After working for 3 years in the Netherlands as a water engineer, David returned to Indonesia and worked as a project manager, for 2 years, at the Water Management Department of Witteveen+Bos Consulting Engineers. Since January 2017, David works as an water management consultant for the Development Alternatives Inc. and the World Bank.
Throughout his academic and professional experiences, David has worked in a wide range of water-related themes, including: climate change and disaster preparedness (Development Alternatives Inc.), water economics and waste management (World Bank), flood protection, water supply, agrictultural development and urban development (Witteveen+Bos) and water politics and diplomacy (MSc thesis).
