The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) would like to thank all our partners, co-convenors, sponsors and participants that made the 2008 World Water Week in Stockholm such an interesting and successful event!

2400 participants from over 130 countries attended the plenary sessions, workshops, seminars and side events organized by SIWI in collaboration with over 200 convening organizations. The knowledge and resources presented and generated from the week are immense and it is our aim to share these resources through this website in a concise, meaningful and easily accessible manner. Check out updates of the presentations and event summaries in the programme here.
The 2008 World Water Week Synthesis Report , with conclusions from the week will be published in October.
Again, we thank all the people that contributed to the success of the 2008 World Water Week.

2009 World Water Week
We invite you all back to Stockholm for the 2009 World Water Week from August 16-22. The theme for 2009 will be “Accessing Water for the Common Good”, and this will be the first year under a new three-year niche entitled “Water – Responding to Global Change.” The First Announcement and Call for Abstracts will be announced in late November.
